Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG (2011)

The Mercedes SLS was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, marking the return of a Gullwing Mercedes once again. Heavily influenced by the original 300SL Gullwing the SLS's styling captured the long stretching bonnet and rear set cabin to create a similar but adapted shape for Mercedes 21st century supercar.

Developed entirely in house, this was the first time AMG had been given a clean sheet to build a road car from the ground up, and one with the billing that would make it something altogether more serious than a comfortable Mercedes.

The 6.3 Litre V8 which was designed specifically for Mercedes AMG models, produces a staggering 563 hp at 6800 rpm, with 650 Nm of torque at 4750 rpm. The SLS can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds and can reach with ease a top speed of 197 mph.

Similar to its influencer the SLS's body was constructed of lightweight aluminium, this time however Mercedes would break the mould by using not only an aluminium body but also an aluminium chassis. This resulted in a significant weight saving, allowing for an overall curb weight of just 1,620kg.

This SLS offered for sale was first delivered to the UK in January 2011, supplied in the stunning combination of Iridium Silver over a Black Single-Tone Designo Hide Interior. The following options were applied from new, 19"/20" AMG 7 Spoke Design Alloys, Bang & Olufsen Sound System consisting of upgraded speakers, dual subwoofers, amplifier, and selectable sound modes, and AMG Performance steering wheel with Alcantara side grips.

Today the car is presented in stunning condition and it is clear that this car has been well looked after from new having covered just 14,700 Miles. Accompanied by its original tools, books and spare key this superb SLS is UK registered and is located in our showrooms just outside London and available to view immediately.
