20 years ago I started racing with an Austin 7 special at Cadwell Park and it was an honour to be asked by Jeremy Cottingham to drive the awesome Monoposto Ferrari 166/212 in the Shuttleworth and Nuffield Trophy Race for the last weekend in August.

The car was beautifully prepared by Dafyd and after a quick run through the controls we fired up the 2.5 litre V12 with what can only be described as a sound like ripping knickers!

The race went to plan and I was very pleased to keep up with the hot rod Cooper Bristols and bring the car home 3rd in the Nuffield Trophy. Mac Hulbert in the Ex- Raymond Mays ERA R4D came first and so the winner of the Shuttleworth Trophy.

My thanks to Dk Engineering and I look forward to seeing the car out again at the Goodwood Revival.
