Chassis 0829 GT

Delivered in 1957 to a famous French chemist M. Du Pont as a series I 250 GT Pininfarina Spyder. Dupont exercised the car frequently in competition rallies and hill climbs. Following an accident in June 1959 during the first Rally du Toucquet, the car was returned to Ferrari in February 1960 and entrusted to Scaglietti for a revision of the coachwork to then current California specification. The body was revised to that of SWB California (of course on an LWB chassis). At this time the car also received the 1960 updates of 15 inch Borrani wheels, Dunlop Disc Brakes and improved camshafts. Following 0829GT's discovery (having had minimal use since 1970) and subsequent purchase by DK Engineering, a full concours standard restoration has been carried out at DK.
