The 250 GT Lusso is widely regarded as one of the most elegant and timeless designs by Pininfarina in their history. Introduced in 1962 the 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso was Ferrari's latest intermediate model, a vehicle to bridge the gap between competition racers and luxuriously appointed 2+2 Coupe's. Just 351 examples were built between 1963 and late 64.
This late LHD example, no. 329 of 350 units built was supplied new to German importer Auto Becker in June 1964, specced in Blue Notte over a Nero Hide. The car was sold to its first private owner located in Cologne, Germany shortly after in 1964. The car was initially registered on Italian tourist plates, it wasn't until 1966 that the car was officially 'imported' and registered on regular German license plates. During this ownership the car was serviced and maintained by the Ferrari Factory Assistenza Clienti in Modena, Italy with documents supporting this until 1971.
Sometime later the car was exported to France, where it was recorded in 1987 to be owned by a Mr Lafuge located in Paris. In the early period of the 1990's the car was restored, changing colour to a dark metallic grey as documented by pictures in the accompanying history file. In March 1995 the car was sold to car dealer Mario Bernadi, and subsequently returned to Germany. The interior was re-upholstered to Ox Blood Red and sold in September 1996 to its next private owner Mr Mathias Kroeger. During this time, Mathius made the decision to return the car to its original and most striking colour of Blue Notte as it is presented today. The car later found its way The Netherlands, where the car was registered on to English Licence plates. The car was well used during this period on events such as the Tour Rallye in 2002 as well as the Annual Concours d'Elegance Paleis Het'Loo held in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands in September 2006.
In September 2008 the all-important Classiche Certification was obtained and the car was later driven in the Ferrari Club Nederland's 25th Anniversary rally. It also participated in the Garage FF60 and Écurie Francorchamps Anniversary Rallye in May 2012. The car was later sold to the current vendor in 2014.
Today it presents extremely well covering just 36,500 Miles from new and is accompanied by a tool roll, spare wheel, and an extensive history file including pictures and invoices documenting the cars commendable condition throughout its life. This exceptional 250 GT Lusso is located in our showrooms just outside London and comes UK Registered, Classiche Certified and is available to view immediately.
