We had the privilege of attending the inaugural Anantara Concorso Roma, an exceptional new concours that has immediately established itself among the most important events on the international calendar. Proceedings began at the magnificent Anantara Palazzo Naiadi, before transferring to the historic setting of Villa Borghese, where the cars were displayed against one of Rome’s most atmospheric backdrops.
The event marked a truly special moment in Ferrari history. For the first time in 75 years, two 1951 Ferrari 340 Americas were reunited, having last sat side?by?side on the starting grid of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1951. To see these two significant cars together once again was both moving and historically resonant.
We were proud to present one of those Ferrari 340 America; the #18 car that we recently restored. Since completion, the car has successfully competed at concours events on both the East and West Coasts of the United States, before making its European debut in Rome. In many ways, this felt like a homecoming — returning a Touring?bodied Ferrari of this significance back to Italy, and onto one of the most refined concours stages imaginable.
Jordan Batson was on the ground throughout the event, working closely with the car’s owner to ensure they were fully prepared and supported during the Concorso. From presentation and judging logistics to the finer details that matter on the show field, every aspect was carefully managed. The car itself was presented in outstanding order, drawing consistent praise for the quality of its restoration, its authenticity, and the way it carried itself among a remarkable field of entrants.
We were delighted that the car was awarded “La Migliore Touring Superleggera del Concorso”, an honour given in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Carrozzeria Touring (1926–2026). To receive such recognition in a centenary year for Touring — and at an event of this calibre — made the occasion all the more special.
Anantara Concorso Roma proved to be a memorable event, combining world?class cars, and an extraordinary setting. For us, it marked another proud chapter in the ongoing story of this Ferrari 340 America, and a fitting recognition of the work that has gone into preserving and presenting it at the very highest level.
