Whilst Lamborghini was founded from a business building tractors in 1949, it would not be until 1986 that their first off-road vehicle, the LM002, would be produced. Two concepts had initially been developed, using rear-mounted American powerplants intended for military use but neither had been well received.

Nevertheless, Lamborghini progressed with development and the car was launched five years later. Although largely similar to the concept, significant reengineering took place and the 5.2 litre V12 from the Countach was shoe-horned into the front end.

Production lasted 7 years, but just over 300 vehicles were produced.

Fast forward to 2020 and the marketplace looks very different. Huge demand across the globe has seen Porsche, Bentley and even Rolls Royce branch into the SUV market. More are the way too with Aston Martin and likely Ferrari to join the field soon. As good a time as ever then for Lamborghini to launch their competitor. Looking very similar to its concept of 2012, the Urus was launched in 2018 and has been in production since.

Very much in keeping from a design perspective with the rest of the range, the Urus belies its size in person. It is powered by the tried-and-tested 4.0 ‘hot-vee’ twin-scroll, twin-turbocharged V8 found in both the RS6 and Bentley models. The Urus specification engine is heavily reworked however offering 641hp, an increase of 99hp and 59lb ft over the already hugely potent Porsche Cayenne Turbo application.

Determined to make the Urus as capable as possible, Lamborghini developed the world’s largest set of Carbon-Ceramic disc brakes. The front receives 440mm 10-piston callipers, with 370mm single-piston callipers at the rear. The Urus will see 62mph in just 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 190mph. Adding the Lamborghini’s standard driving modes of Strada, Sport and Corsa, the Urus also gain Terra, Sabbia and Neve or Dirt, Sand and Snow.

This 2020 example was recently delivered to Lamborghini Bristol and has covered just 75 miles from new. Supplied in the vibrant Blu Eleos Metallic with 22’’ Taigete Diamond Finished wheels, this example sports the desirable Panoramic Roof with Black roof rails. Inside the car receives an interior fitting of any Lamborghini. Nero Ade Leather features Blu Amon Sportivo leather Q-Cituro inserts and matching steering wheel. The dashboard sees inserts in Open Pore Wood with Aluminium inlay.

The interior receives the 4-seat configuration with fully-electric, ventilated front seats and Bang & Olufsen 3D Sound. Both the extended lower cabin leather and roof-lining in Alcantara incomplete the interior options. The outside sees lower Carbon-Fibre trim package, comprising of the front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser.

Further options include the Sunshine Package, Night Vision, Soft-close doors, Head-Up Display, Off-Road Modes, Garage Door opener and Akrapovic Racing Exhaust.

Available with delivery mileage, this stunning Lamborghini Urus presents on the button complete with its supplied scale model, detailing kit and all books. It is currently available to view at our showrooms just outside London immediately.
