The Ferrari 430 Scuderia 16M was built to celebrate Ferrari's victory in the 2008 Formula 1 World Championship and as a reminder of this, the car sports a special plaque on its rear grille commemorating Ferrari's 16th Constructor's World title. Production was limited to just 499 units which is underscored by the silver "limited series" plaque just above the air vents at the centre of the dashboard. As per Ferrari’s normal practises, allocations were all pre-sold to existing, select clients.
Upgrades over the Ferrari F430 Spider, on which the Scuderia Spider is based, included 80 kg in weight savings due to the use of lightweight body trim materials, the stripping of excess interior weight, and a carbon-trimmed roll bar that emphasises the 16M racing pedigree. From a technical point of view, this car has a dry weight of 1340 Kg; this combined with the 510 BHP provided by its V8 engine and a power-to-weight ratio of 2.6 kg/hp, means that it delivers blistering 0-100 kph acceleration in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 194 mph.
This right hand drive 16M was supplied new by Stratestone Ferrari Manchester in April 2009 finished in Nero Daytona with a matching Nero interior and convertible top. It was ordered with the following options;
Having covered 9,900 miles in the hands of just two owners, it is evident that this example has been well maintained from the wealth of service invoices from Ferrari main dealers, with its last annual service carried out by Stratstone Ferrari Wilmslow in November of 2021 at 9,852 miles.
Accompanying the car are its original Ferrari indoor car cover, spare key, book pack and history file. This 16M offers the opportunity to buy a well maintained and rare RHD vehicle that is surely one of the most sought after and most pleasing to the ear convertible Ferraris built in recent years. Represented in a desirable colour combination, it is available to view at our showrooms just outside London immediately.
