Chassis 15045 was delivered new in RHD by Maranello Concessionaires in April 1972 - it was one of just 34 cars to be delivered to the UK. By 1986 the car had had 4 owners and covered 29,895 miles being maintained mostly by Maranello. 15045 was purchased by a long standing FOC member Christian Mineef. A full service history, MOT history, write up and report documenting this time under his ownership accompanies the car. This included many items being rebuilt including the engine. In 1994 the car was purchased by the current owner with the speedometer showing 32,500 miles. The current owner has used the car sparingly over the last 15 years but enjoyed it greatly when having the opportunity to use it including a trip to Australia in 2004. In 2003 DK Engineering undertook a comprehensive rebuild of the car including suspension and brakes. At this time the car was painted and trimmed (Azzuro Metalizzato with Blue Leather). More recently a full service has been undertaken at DK and the speedometer presently indicates 36,900 miles. DK are proud to offer for sale what is regarded amongst connoisseurs of the mark as the highly underrated sibling of a Daytona that is often referred to as being the better car of the pair and hence the thinking mans choice.
