The 250 GT SWB Berlinetta is, in our opinion, the most desirable coupe street Ferrari of all time. Amazingly, this car has had just 4 owners from new. The first owner was a British gentleman who took delivery of the car via Chinetti for use in the USA at his second home there. The car was never registered for the road there as it was used so sparingly; it returned to the UK in approximately 1971 and was registered on the road here. He kept the car right up until 1994.
Since 1994 the car has had 3 further keepers and the mileage has been kept very low, just 33,000 Miles from new. The car, although very original and still in full working roadworthy condition, was deemed slightly tired and sad looking and 3 years ago a thorough (but sympathetic) restoration was carried out by highly regarded specialist in this field. The restoration was completed in 2011 and all the original parts were retained and restored where possible; practically all the finishing parts are correct and numbered as are the engine, gearbox and axle. The car is finished in its original combination of silver/grey (non metallic) with black leather.
Being a rather late car it benefits from the more attractive roof vent and quarter lights. It is fitted with 36 DCS carburettors and also has the very rare front brake cooling cowls surrounding the brake discs. It is rare that one can find such a "bullet proof" example of a car such as this and at DK Engineering we are truly delighted and honoured to be entrusted with the sale of this motor car.
