The Ferrari 275 was first unveiled at the Paris motor show of 1964 and was hailed as the successor to the legendary Ferrari 250 GT. The car had excellent balance, poise and weight distribution thanks to independent rear suspension and a rear-mounted 5-speed transaxle. In addition, the engine was shifted backwards in order to bring as much weight as possible towards the centre of the car. Ferrari eventually released a redesigned nose for the model, which was longer and aimed to enhance the aerodynamic abilities of the car at high speed. Therefore, only 239 Short Nose examples were produced and their rarity and undoubted stunning looks have made these cars highly collectible and they are now considered the prized assets of many collections. The original form is often regarded as the pure form.

This LHD Ferrari 275 GTB "Short-Nose" was completed in 1965 and was originally finished in Verde Pino with a Beige interior. The car was first delivered to the dealer Rugico in Madrid, Spain and was sold to the first owner, who resided in Switzerland, in 1966. In the 1990s the car was owned by a Spanish gentleman, remaining part of his personal and very private collection during which time he exercised and maintained the car regularly during his long ownership. At some point he repainted the car Red.

However, following a long ownership the car was purchased by a UK based dealer in circa December 2006 and sold to the current owner. The car has again been regularly exercised during the current owners tenure and has been equally well maintained by ourselves. This particular example is Classiche Certified, confirming that the car is matching numbers throughout. The car is UK registered and available immediately. It represents a very interesting opportunity to purchase what is now thought of as the most attractive variant of the 275 range; the attractiveness of these particular models is further boosted by their 1965 build year meaning they are both highly eligible and capable motor cars.
