The 993 turbo was introduced in 1996 featuring full time four wheel drive for the first time on a production 911 Turbo. The 3.6-litre engine was fitted with a pair of KKK K16 turbochargers and Bosch M5.2 engine management. Output was 408bhp at 5750rpm. Performance was explosive with a top speed of 184mph and 0-60 in just 4.5 seconds. Like all turbocharged 911's, this latest variant received heavily flared wheel arches and a static rear spoiler.

Unique to these cars, the body-coloured rear wings were fixed in place and housed the turbocharger intercoolers. For the 1997 model year, Porsche produced the most exclusive road going 993 of all and what became the last air-cooled 911 Turbo - the Turbo S. Based on the standard Turbo, the Turbo S was enhanced with a number of special features Including: the Aerokit II front and rear spoilers, Carbon Fibre interior features, brake cooling ducts alongside the front indicators, uprated yellow coloured 6 pot calipers an additional oil cooler, stiffer suspension that made the car sit 15mm lower and engine cooling scoops carved out from the rear wings. Mechanically, the 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six was pumped up to 450bhp by incorporating larger K-24 turbos and a different exhaust making it the firm's most powerful production engine yet. Only 180 or so cars were produced worldwide with UK production quoted at just 23 examples - these motor cars are extremely rare and sought after.

This UK "C16" example is 1 of just 23 UK Right Hand Drive cars and was delivered new via HR Owen St Albans and delivered to its first private owner Mr Mike Schafer on the 11th of May 1998. Presented in its original and exceptionally rare colour combination of paint to sample Ocean Blue Metallic over a Midnight Blue full Leather interior. Additional options specified from new include Sports seats, Top Tinted Windscreen, 3rd Brake Light and a Sun Roof.

Its first owner would keep the car for just 1 year having covered just 15,000 Miles before selling the car in December 1999 to its longest standing owner Mr Geoff Wall. Mr Wall would keep the car until December 2013 and when looking through the cars superb history file, it is clear to see he was a most meticulous owner. During the 14 year ownership period just 15,000 Miles were covered and it was maintained with no expense spared via Porsche GB and other Porsche main dealers. Its third owner purchased the car via dealer in December 2013 and continued to match the fastidious nature of maintenance.

Today this rare Turbo S has covered just 37,400 Miles from new. Testament to the care and attention it has received, the accompanying original service book car has no less than 17 stamps from new. This Turbo S is presented on the button having been serviced in February of this year and comes accompanied by its original and complete bookpack, spare key and alarm fob, spare wheel, tool roll, tyre pump and a most comprehensive history file. The opportunity to purchase a RHD Turbo S is becoming extremely rare, the opportunity to purchase an example in as fine a condition as this, with paint to sample Ocean Blue and an impeccable service record is almost non-existent.
