Porsche 992 Carrera S PDK (2019)

The seventh and latest generation of 911 is almost all new over the preceding 991 generation. The all new body is more reliant on the use of aluminium over steel than ever before although the car is slightly heavier than the previous generation. The 992 drops the option of a narrow body for the first time, instead favouring the wide-hipped design synonymous of turbocharged 911s.

At its launch just the Carrera S and Carrera 4 S were available, now powered by a reworked version of the 3 litre bi-turbo flat-six producing 30bhp more than the equivalent 991 at 444bhp. It features new intake manifolds, new intakes, new charge coolers and most importantly new, larger turbochargers. This greatly updated engine is paired with an all-new 8-speed PDK which belies its added weight with an improved power to weight ratio.

The interior has changed quite significantly. Porsche have made the seats thinner whilst retaining comfort, allowing for a lower driving position. Inspired by all previous generations of 911, the dashboard retains the 5-dial layout. An analogue rev counter sits proudly amongst the new TFT screens either side.

This UK supplied 992 Carrera S was delivered new in May this year and has covered just 1,425 miles since. Finished in the launch hue of Aventurine Green Metallic over Slate Grey leather interior, this car benefits from a number of great options including the larger RS Spyder Design wheels to help fill those large arches, the electric tilt/slide sunroof and the upgraded 14-way *electric* comfort seats. This example also features the desirable Sports Exhaust and upgraded Bose Surround Sound Options.
