In the world of Audi motorsport, there are few things more evocative than the letters RS. Over the years, the RS models have provided a showcase for some of the most advanced technologies and pioneering designs - and the Audi RS3 Sportback is no different.

The sole remaining example of the breed, Audi’s RS3 is the sole production car still in production to be fitted with a 5-cylinder engine. Now in its third generation, the heady 2.5-litre turbocharged unit, coupled with the 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission offers a whisker over 400hp and 369lb ft of torque.

0-60 mph is dispatched in just 3.8 seconds thanks to the latest version of the Quattro all-wheel drive system and RS torque-splitting rear differential, capable of channelling 100% of drive to the rear axle.
