Ferrari 488 Spider (2017)

The opening chapter in Ferrari's lineage of open-top, turbocharged, mid-engine V8s, the 488 Spider succeeds and long line of naturally aspirated models. Following the successes of the 488 GTB, the first 'Modificata' with a new powerplant unleashes a host of improvements of the 458 including a smaller displacement engine of 3.9 litres, twin turbochargers and revised aerodynamics. The new engine boasts an impressive and eye-watering by only yesterday's standards 661 bhp accelerating the car from 0-60mph in just 3 seconds, and ultimately reaching a top speed of 203 mph. The 488 also has a new generation of the Slide Slip Control, which will carefully firm up or soften the dampers. The brakes are derived from the LaFerrari and the dual-clutch 7-speed transmission regarded as one of the finest gearboxes on any car to date.

This UK supplied 488 Spider was first registered in January 2017 to its first and only owner in London. A serial Ferrari collector, this example is elegantly optioned in Grigio Titanio over Blu Sterling. Equipped with full-electric sports seats with 'Daytona' inserts, tone on tone in Blu Sterling. Familiar with the process, this example sees a more subtle contrasting stitch and embroidered Cavallino Rampante on the headrests in Grigio Scuro instead of the often optioned silver or white. This car benefits from the optional extended leather steering wheel and upper dashboard too and with the Carbon Fibre Driving Zone, Carbon Fibre Tunnel Bridge and Carbon Fibre dashboard inserts and matching seat belts and mats; the cockpit is a very nice place to be.

The exterior sees a complete package of visual carbon fibre, the front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and side air vents all finished as such. Additional options include the Front Axle Lifting System, 20’’ Diamond Cut Forged wheels, Front and Rear parking cameras and Adaptive Front Lighting System.

Residing within our secure storage facility as part of a significant collection, this 488 has been used sparingly, covering just 1,200 miles from new. Exclusively returning to supplying dealership H.R. Owen of London for its annual servicing requirements, this example wants for nothing and will be covered by the remainder of its 7-year warranty until 2023.
