Every year the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este shows why it is one of the most revered events on the motor enthusiast’s calendar; the quality of the cars and their presentation is second to none, on the gorgeous backdrop of Bellagio and Lake Como.
As with what we observed of Pebble Beach and Monterey Car Week almost a year ago now, there are winds of change at play, with a younger market taking an interest in the concours scene. This has led to an even greater variety of cars on show, and with the McLaren F1 winning in class, marks the newest ever car to win at Villa D’este, as well as a ‘time capsule’ unrestored car winning overall with the Figioni short chassis Alfa Romeo.
DK were extremely proud to provide The Complete Service to a valued client, and the effort preparing her Coach built Bentley did not go unnoticed, as the car received a deserved ‘Best In Class’ award. The Bentley in question is the one-off 1930 4 ½ Litre ‘Blower’ With a coach-built body by Gurney Nutting, which is stored and prepared by DK Engineering.
This class win makes the iconic Villa d’Este the backdrop for the third win in two weeks by a DK Engineering supported car.
