Yesterday, members of the DK team were out in force at the Bicester Motion Scramble, an event that continues to grow in popularity. The picturesque World War-era air base played host to a wide array of cars and passionate enthusiasts. In true Scramble fashion, there was something for everyone, from pre-war to the latest and greatest, and everything in between.
With a 6:30am departure from Little Green Street Farm, the DK team journeyed to Bicester in convoy, made up of cars perfectly suited to the occasion: the Atalanta Two-Seat Sports, a 4.7-litre Jaguar E-type restomod, and the Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS Lightweight; all of which are currently available with DK Engineering.
Often regarded as the ultimate Porsche 911, the RS Lightweight was displayed accordingly among a curated collection of the greatest 911 models, thanks to The Intercooler. The Atalanta, one of just three newly built continuation cars, took its rightful place among the 'Restomods and Reboots' on the main display lawn. Meanwhile, thanks to the HCVA, the E-type restomod took centre stage on the airfield.
The fantastic event itself, and the memorable journies there and back, both served as wonderful reminders of why cars like these should be enjoyed and driven as intended!
